1. Data controller
Novacusine, based in Paris, France, is the data controller for the personal data processed through this platform. For any privacy request, contact us at hello@novacusine.pro.
2. Data we collect
We collect the minimum data needed to run your catering bookings:
- Account data: name, email, phone, company and billing address.
- Event data: event type, venue, date, guest count, dietary and taste preferences, special notes.
- Order and payment data: order totals, deposit/balance status, and payment references from Stripe.
- Messages exchanged between clients and the catering team, and reviews you submit.
- Technical data: browser language (used only to offer translation) and basic session information.
3. Why we process your data
We process your data to provide the service you requested (creating and fulfilling event orders), to process payments, to communicate about your bookings, and to meet legal and accounting obligations. The legal bases are performance of a contract, our legitimate interest in operating the platform, and legal obligation for invoicing and tax records.
4. Who we share data with
We share data only with processors needed to run the service: our hosting and application platform, Stripe (payment processing and, for caterers, Stripe Connect account services), our email delivery provider, and Google Translate for optional on-page translation. We never sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some processors above may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this occurs, we rely on their standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards recognized under GDPR.
6. Retention
We keep account and order data for as long as your account is active, and afterwards only as long as required for accounting, tax and legal purposes (typically up to 10 years for invoicing records under French law).
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, email info@novacuisine.pro. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the CNIL (France's data protection authority) at cnil.fr.
8. Cookies
We use strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences (such as light or dark mode and your cookie choice). With your consent, we may also set a cookie to remember your preferred translation language. You can change your cookie choice at any time by clearing your browser's site data for this domain.
9. Payments and Stripe Connect
Card payments are processed by Stripe. For orders fulfilled by a connected caterer account, Stripe transfers the payment (minus the platform commission) directly to that caterer's own Stripe Connect account. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for the payment and identity-verification data it collects to comply with its own regulatory obligations — see Stripe's privacy policy for details.
